The club is looking for people interested in participating in the Fairweather Invitational being held by the Great Southern Archers. This event is being held by the club that held the 2021 Iron Arrow, an event so good/tough that it literally had competitors being taken to hospital. This is your chance to participate in Australia’s only team field event. If you are interested in shooting in a mixed team event, Barebow/longbow, recurve and compound, this is the event for you.
Please check your emails for an email from the club with more information.

The Crossbow World Postal Shoot and the 2021 Barossa Indoor Tournament were held this weekend at the clubs indoor venue at Angaston. The Crossbow event was held on Saturday and the indoor event on Sunday. There was a good turnout to both events even with the cold Barossa Weather, Thanks for Robert Whittlesea for venturing up on Sunday to Judge.

Congrats to all of the winners of the 2021 Barossa Indoor and everyone who participated. Special thanks to the parents who sat in the cold hall and supported the shoot (a few extra bottles of wine were handed out as a thank you).

Crosss Bow Winner - Graeme Hann and Deb Upright
Barebow Recurve - Marianne Reickmann and Matthew Pellew
Compound - Vicki Brady and Michael Lange
Recurve - Nola Smith and Shane Moll

It was a really great event I just wish I knew it was going to be a longer day to get the whole shoot in. Can't wait for the next one!

The club ran a field course come and try for members who hadn't shot field before. Great turn out with everyone now excited to do a full scoring round. It was great to see some of the club's younger archers- Ian, Alix and Thomas shooting and trying the more challenging targets. They all had a go at target 6. The Barossa put on fantastic weather for the morning. ... See MoreSee Less

Sad I had to miss this one. Apparently the kids are entitled to their own sporting events... 🙄😂

Great effort today everyone, it was awesome seeing you tackle the more technical targets first time out and nailing it. It was great to see you all having fun and enjoying yourselves. Looking forward to doing it again soon. 👍

Thanks heaps for showing us the ropes with the field course! It was lots of fun! We are hooked! 😁

Please run it again. I couldn’t get there as I’m interstate

well done we looks beautiful there

I enjoyed that course.

The club achieved another milestone in the construction of the new shed and clubrooms at archery road - pouring of the concrete footing. Thanks to everyone that helped out.

Next step is construction of the shed. Over the next couple of weeks you will see the shed delivered to site and should start to see more progress.

Look out for more upcoming working bees!

Greg Kokegei is this where you go

I’m so disappointed that I can’t come as I’m interstate for a family matter. Any chance this will be rerun in a month or so? I won’t be able to get to the club until after I’ve served quarantine.

The Barossa Archery Club had good representation at the Mid North Archers Christine Player Tournament held on Sunday. As you can see the club performed well. Left to right: Dave Allery, Mark Goodyer, Paul Bonner, Michael Lange, Thomas Perry (congrats on participating in your first tournament) and Craig Perry.

There were over 40 people participating in the shoot and everyone had a great time, with a few of us going up the day before to shoot an extra round and use their great indoor facility.

As always the Mid North Archers put on a great couple of days. Special call out to all of those were involved in the catering - fantastic country hospitality and I'm sure no one went home hungry. Highly recommend the trip up to Pirie to have a shoot.
